About Rae

Rae Nawrocki is a senior in the Graphic Design program at Auburn University and has served for two years as the Station Manager for WEGL 91.1 FM, the university’s student-run radio station. Rae hosts Type Speaks, a podcast featuring interviews with creatives across the industry about their stories and design processes and works across mediums to explore the intersection of graphic design, media, and storytelling.

With a passion for pushing creative boundaries, they explore innovative and unconventional approaches to visual communication. Their work blends traditional design principles with experimental techniques, drawing inspiration from diverse fields like broadcasting, speculative design, and the underground music scene. They also have worked for five years in education, spending their summers working with young children at art camps, trying to instill an early love of art and design for the next generation.
